No — our hot tubs are designed to fit through most standard access points, making them a great choice even where access is limited.

Our hot tubs arrive packed inside a compact box and are made using premium drop-stitch inflatable construction. Once inflated, they are extremely strong and rigid, and you wouldn’t know they were inflatable unless you saw one being set up.

You’ll need approximately 2 metres of clear, level floor space for the hot tub to sit on. Because the hot tub arrives compact, we can often take it through side gates, narrow access routes and even through your home if necessary.

This makes our hot tub hire in Doncaster and surrounding areas suitable for a wide range of gardens and properties, even when access isn’t straightforward.

No — we provide everything you need to make setting up your hot tub as easy as possible.

We supply our own filling hose with special connections designed to work with a variety of household mixer taps. The hose is left with you for the duration of your hire, so you don’t need an outside tap.

If you have a combi boiler, you can often fill the hot tub with warm water, giving you a much faster fill-and-use time of around 3 hours, depending on your boiler and water supply. If you only have access to a cold-water tap, the hot tub can still be filled, but it will take considerably longer to heat to the desired temperature.

We also provide heavy-duty, RCD-protected power cables with enough reach to connect to a suitable indoor socket. Where necessary, the cable can be passed safely through a window that can be night-latched.

Our aim is to make hot tub hire in Doncaster and the surrounding areas as simple and convenient as possible, without you needing specialist outdoor plumbing or electrical equipment.

For our Hot Tub & Gazebo packages and Disco Tub hire, you will need a clear, level space of approximately 3m × 3m. This gives us enough room to safely install the hot tub and gazebo.

The gazebo must also be securely anchored directly to the ground. We can secure it using ground screws on suitable ground or, where appropriate, secure it directly into wooden decking.

Our larger hot tub party packages require more space:

We always aim to provide a hot fill for your hot tub hire by connecting our hose to a suitable indoor mixer tap. A hot fill is much faster than filling with cold water and can also reduce the electricity needed to heat the hot tub.

With a hot fill, your hot tub will usually be ready to use in around 3 hours, depending on your water pressure and available hot-water supply. If your property uses a hot-water storage tank, filling may take longer. As a rough guide, filling the hot tub requires approximately the same amount of water as four baths.

If we need to fill the hot tub with cold water, allow approximately:

  • Summer: around 15 hours to reach temperature.
  • Winter: around 25 hours to reach temperature.

Heating times can vary depending on the starting water temperature and outdoor weather conditions.

We also leave the hose pipe with you for the duration of your hot tub hire, so you can top up the water or carry out a water change if required.

Yes. We can provide one-night hot tub hire, although the price is the same as our standard 1–4 night hot tub hire.

This is because the main costs involved in your hire remain the same whether you keep the hot tub for one night or four. We still need to deliver the hot tub to your home, professionally set it up, prepare it ready for use and return to collect it afterwards.

By including up to 4 nights for the same hire price, we can keep our hot tub hire prices as low as possible while giving you extra time to enjoy your hot tub.

So, if you only need a hot tub for a birthday party, anniversary, weekend celebration or special event, a one-night hire is absolutely fine — but you’re welcome to keep it for the full hire period at no extra cost.

Don’t worry – a hosepipe ban does not necessarily mean your Happytubs hot tub hire will be cancelled.

Hosepipe restrictions generally apply to domestic customers filling their own hot tubs. Commercial hot tub hire can be treated differently. For example, Yorkshire Water’s previous hosepipe restrictions allowed businesses to use a hosepipe where its use was directly related to their commercial purpose.

As Happytubs is a professional hot tub hire service, filling and setting up our hired hot tubs for paying customers forms part of our business operation.

Restrictions and commercial exemptions can vary between water suppliers and individual Temporary Use Bans, so if restrictions are introduced in Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Pontefract or surrounding areas, we will check the current rules with the relevant water supplier before your hire.

We’ll always let you know if any local water restrictions affect your booking.

Yes, any event or occasion is great for hot tub and party tent hire. 

No. We ask you to drain the hot tub before we arrive to collect it. Don’t worry — it’s really easy.

You can drain the water straight onto your lawn, where the water can soak naturally into the ground. Alternatively, we leave you a hose that you can use to direct the water to a suitable drain.

We’ll explain how to drain the hot tub when we set everything up.

Yes. Your hot tub needs to be set up on reasonably level, firm ground. A small amount of variation is usually fine, but if the ground slopes too much, you’ll end up with a shallow side and a deeper side of the hot tub, which isn’t ideal for comfort or water level.
